The Lollipop update for Moto G brings Material Design, improved notifications,
more customisation and battery improvements.
Good news for Moto G users in India. Motorola has announced rolling out Android Lollipop
update to its Moto G 1st Gen and 2nd Gen in India.The update is available over the air (OTA),
so users will receive a notification on their phones. Users, however, can also check for the
update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.
As you already know, the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop update brings a slew of changes
including Material Design, improved settings and battery life improvements. For Moto G
users, Motorola Assist now features a new Downtime settings to control when you don't
want to be disturbed. It also features new interruptions settings, allowing you to customise

It's notable users cannot downgrade to a previous software version after installing this update.
Motorola is rolling out the update in phases, so it might take a little time for the update to be available for you.
Interestingly, Motorola had earlier said that as of now their current plans are to update the Moto E, Moto G
(all variants), Moto X (all variants) to the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 by the end of 2014.
